Fulton County, GA Public Records

Georgia's open records statutes give the right for residents to view, inspect and make copies of all public records. Fulton County public records include papers, letters, maps, books, audio, and video files that government agencies maintain. Vital records such as birth, death, marriage, and divorce are not available for anyone’s viewing, though. They are usually only issued to those applicants that have a direct and tangible interest in the person on the record. That is, immediate relatives, legal representatives, and spouses. These records are attained from the Fulton County Health Department via the Office of Vital Records. Property records in the county are also open to public view per the Georgia Open Records Act. The records may be accessed at the Clerk of the Superior and Magistrate court. Requesters would have to go to the courthouse and perform a search at the Deeds room.
